Current Labs Gauge Controller

The Current Labs Gauge Controller (model C178) drives up to four analog gauges directly from your vehicle's CAN bus. Each of its four channels is an analog constant-current sink (0–148.7 mA) that emulates a gauge sender, so stock or aftermarket 3-pin dual-coil gauges — fuel, temp, oil, and more — keep working through engine swaps, EV conversions, and custom instrument setups.

Load your bus's DBC file in the free Gauge Configurator (macOS, Windows, Linux), pick any broadcast signal, and map it to any gauge with an up-to-8-point response curve. A guided Empty/Full calibration matches each channel to your exact gauge. The controller is receive-only on CAN — it never transmits on your bus — at 125K to 1M baud.
